RFID Credit Cards & Theft

I have heard reports that thieves are now able to steal account information from RFID credit cards. RFID credit cards do have a unique vulnerability. Someone can use an off-the-shelf scanner to read account numbers and cardholder names off of your RFID credit cards. If you want to prevent someone from scanning your RFID credit card without your knowledge you can try the old tinfoil-in-the-wallet trick, or you can get a wallet lined with nickel-impregnated nylon that blocks all RFID transmissions.
