I got teary-eyed while watching this video.

One of the last full-length interviews that former president Cory Aquino gave was to GMA-7 Jessica Soho last September for the GMA News and Public Affairs special program The Newsmakers, on the country’s presidents from Marcos to Arroyo. She looked hale and hearty, firmly defending her record against critics, remembering her husband Ninoy fondly, and speaking philosophically, without bitterness or regret and with a smile even, about her illness. President Cory, thank you for all your sacrifices. Thank you for the freedom that you have given this country. Thank you for everything — YOU ARE A TRUE HERO. Your virtues of simplicity, honesty, unwavering faith in God and strength of character is worth emulating. You have touched the lives of every Filipino people — with that, WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.
