Few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to receive another blessing. I was informed that a package from Hongkong has been waiting for me on the postal office. Oh boy, I just love the feeling of excitement when I go to the post office to claim and check on who sent me the package.

We ladies are often caught in a quandary when choosing bags. We know that we need bags to carry our stuff around. But while we contemplate on what can carry all our stuff, we also want to look stylish lugging around our purses.

Pretty Red Earrings

I just want to showcase a pretty accessory which is actually, not mine. LOL. I am wearing my cousin’s red earrings which she bought during her summer vacay at Bantayan, Cebu. When I asked her how much the pair costs, I was shocked to know that it is sold for only P50.00. I posted this on Instagram and my Facebook account — and many have liked it! They told me it suits me. Yay! How I wish my cousin will just give it to me as a gift!

Anatomy Of A Denim Jean

  • May 14, 2012 • 8 comments

The key to finding body-loving denim lies in mastering its different parts, so you know what to check out when shopping for a pair. Our denim dictionary breaks down the elements that make a perfect pair.

Anatomy Of A Denim Jean

FIT is the way the garment conforms to your body, especially around the bum and thigh area. Slim fit jeans wear tight, while a relaxed fit is roomier in the hips and thighs.

LEG (#01) also known as the “cut”, refers to how the jeans are fashioned. Straight-cut / legged features a uniform fit throughout the length of the jeans. Boot-cut styles are fitted at the thighs then subtly flare out below the knee, which serves to balance a bottom-heavy proportion. Skinny jeans fit snugly through the legs, and taper down to a narrow leg opening. Wide-legged and flared jeans both feature roomy leg openings, but the former has a bigger cut through the leg, whereas the latter only begins to widen out below the knee. Trouser-style denims are patterned after dress pants and feature a cleaner, more tailored silhouette.

Bracelet Layering {Arm Party}

Bracelet Layering {Arm Party}

Below is a handy dandy guide on how to create a super fun arm party of your own! There are a few key components to getting a complimentary combo of metal, color + swagger on your wrist:

  1. Start with the metals. Stick with gold or silver. Choose a chunky piece and then a more dainty piece. (I like the ratio of 1 thick metal piece for every 2 or 3 thinner metal pieces.)
  2. Add some color. Give the party a pop! I really like the elastic bracelets with gold coverings for a more elegant look and the more fabric-y colorful bracelets for a daytime look. As far as color schemes, go for a more bold look with neons or mix and match with earth tones, mustards + pinks!
  3. Throw in a watch. Make sure to match your metals! Add in a retro gold watch for a glam look or throw on your every day leather watch band for additional texture.
  4. Personal flare. Throw in a piece with your name or a saying your love for some extra personalization! If you are a glam girl, add some diamonds or rhinestones. A little punk rock? Let’s see those spikes! Can’t get enough of the navajo trend? Add some printed pieces!
